Superprojects is an initiative for young audiences that generates possibilities for creative encounters with contemporary art and artists. Superprojects' work includes school-based workshop and artist-residency programmes, Per Cent for Art commissions, festival events and child-centred exhibition programmes that open up the richness of national and international contemporary art practice to child participants; whilst actively fostering their development as meaning-makers and artists. Over the years, Superprojects has engaged with hundreds of diverse young audience members in dozens of locations across Ireland, working with Local authority partners South Dublin County Council, Dublin City Council, Dun Laoighaire Rathdown County Council and Fingal County Council, and with schools including Blakestown Community College, Bracken Educate Together National School, Fingal Community College and Hartstown Community School, Bremore Educate Together, Scoil Chroí Íosa.  We have successfully collaborated with visual arts organisations such as Project Arts Centre, The Ark Temple Bar, Tulca Festival of Visual Arts Galway, Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre, Draíocht Arts Centre, The Irish Museum of Modern Art, VISUAL, Carlow, and we have worked with dozens of the most exciting and engaging contemporary artists currently working in Ireland.

Superprojects is undertaking three major arts in education projects between September and December 2021 and seeks an outstanding freelance arts assistant, a  collaborator with good experience working in the arts and expertise in Marketing and PR, who can assist our curator with administrative tasks as well as take on a new task of helping Superprojects to share its work to new audiences, both in Ireland and internationally.

 

Tasks would include:

-        Day to day administration and assistance with project management

-        Assisting in the writing of a marketing plan for the organisation

-        Communication with partners and stakeholders including schools, local authority partners and artist

-        Liaising with documentation and content creators

-        Archiving and organising documentation and marketing materials.

-         Support with funding applications

-        Assistance in writing and distributing press releases and administration of press campaigns

-        Social media development and management

-        Other tasks as assigned

 

Person specifics:

Necessary

-        Excellent organisation and communication skills

-        Excellent interpersonal skills

-        A very good knowledge and experience of contemporary art in Ireland

-        Experience of working with artists, galleries, and on visual art projects OR in other cultural events

-        Wide experience of managing social media campaigns, websites and content management

-        Excellent knowledge of PR and marketing

-        third level qualification in arts management or similar OR More than three years’ experience working in a similar area.
